AWM Glass Design is the leading stained glass Glasgow studio working throughout Scotland and the British Isles with some of the Artists having thirty years experience and having served their apprenticeship with Royal Doulton and Glasgow School of Art.

We design, manufacture and install Stained Glass Windows combining contemporary design ideas with traditional leading techniques using painting, acid etching, sandblasting and fusing glass. We also make stained and leaded glass panels incorporated into double glazing units.


We take great pride in our stained glass, repair and restoration work and aim to make repairs undetectable in leaded or painted glass. We restore and conserve stained glass panels using traditional methods and materials providing a comprehensive service for Architects, Churches, Glaziers, Interior Designers, Builders, Insurance Companies, Salvage Yards and the general public.

We work alongside contractors on large building projects to provide our knowledge and abilities for all aspects of stained glass, conservation and restoration and also carry out the simplest repairs to homes.


We aim to create stained glass so that it compliments its surroundings whatever the setting. Often old stained glass will have cracked solder joints, even glass that rattles about or bulges. These can be restored to their former glory, whatever the condition they are in. Matching glass is used from our extensive range.

Secondary glazing for stained glass is obviously very important. Laminated and toughened glass or sometimes polycarbonate is used depending on surroundings and situations. Powdercoated grilles is also often used.

Acid etching and sandblasting can be used in various areas from Victorian doors and mirrors to club emblems.
