Uddingston Sports Centre, which is part of the new grammar school, has been officially opened to the public.
The sports centre, with its own separate entrance for the public, which is managed and operated by South Lanarkshire Leisure on behalf of the council, is open to the public outside school hours on weekday evenings and weekends.
Among the many facilities at the centre are 'The Club' gym with the latest cardiovascular and resistance equipment, including a vibrating 'Power Plate' which helps you achieve your health and fitness goals quicker.

Councillor Gerry Convery, the Chair of the Board of South Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd, who officially opened the centre, said: "Customers are delighted with this new sports centre and are already benefiting tremendously from this quality facility in their local area.
"This is an exciting development and demonstrates the commitment of the council to improve the facilities throughout South Lanarkshire giving customers the opportunity to improve their lifestyle and get fit and healthy."
