Property workers have been invited to put their dinner suits to one side and rock the night away at the Great Big Property Gig 2009 - this year, aptly entitled The Recession Sessions!
The event will be staged at Glasgow's ABC2 on May 28 and will be your chance to ditch the suit, enjoy some great live music and raise vital funds for both the Scottish Spina Bifida Association and Cancer Research UK.
The Gig will also feature a guest appearance by stand-up comedian and TV/radio presenter, Des Clarke.
Last year's event, which was the third of its kind, raised a staggering £28,500 for charity in just one night. Whilst the organisers realise that times are tough for the property industry this year, the event will rock as much as ever, and ticket prices are lower this year in recognition of the changed climate.
Started in 2006 by a group of well-known faces from the property industry - who had until then been hiding their musical lights under a bushel - the event was conceived as an alternative to the usual black tie dinners and since then, has gone from strength to strength.
There are no suits or ties at the Great Big Property Gig - just an evening of music and craic for you, your company and your clients. The Gig, hosted by Sean Robinson, Managing Director of Park Lane, will showcase a huge array of different music, with a large proportion of those taking to the stage currently working within the property industry.
Donny McKinnon of Davis Langdon, said: "The Great Big Property Gig is a fantastic night out that recreates the student union/pub gig atmosphere. Most of the bands that play at the Gig have members who work within the Scottish property industry so coming along to the gig is a great chance to see your colleagues' secret talents! It also allows you to meet your business colleagues and friends outwith the normal black tie events and enjoy some great music."
Tickets are priced at £15. For further information on the Gig, the bands playing playing and to purchase tickets, please visit: www.thegreatbigpropertygig.com
Park Lane and Duco Architects are also on the Great Big Property Gig organising committee.
