Asplanned Get Teeth Into Dental Sector Office Planning

Office design and installation company, Asplanned, are all smiles after completing a third dental industry contract.

The Dundee based company was commissioned by dental surgeon Ian M Cooper to provide space planning, interior design, furniture and reception fit out services for their recent move to Waterside Dental Practice at Dundee's City Quay development.

Asplanned also provided space planning, furniture and designed a children's play area for City Quay Dental Clinic which is a state of the art mixed NHS and cosmetic dental practice.

And a refurbishment project for A-Plus Dental Laboratory in the city's George Buckman Drive, required asplanned to put their space planning skills to full use to maximise storage space for the cosmetic crown and bridge restoration specialists.

Andy Stewart, asplanned managing director, said each project threw up different challenges. He said: "Dental practices might not come top of your list when thinking of interior design and space planning requirements but modern surgeries have to be as comfortable and client friendly as possible.

"Each client appreciated the need to consider the best use of the space available and to select the type of furniture and fittings that reflected their reputations for providing a high quality service."

In addition to providing space planning for the public and reception areas the design also made full use of office space available to maximise storage and filing facilities.
