An upcoming special exhibition in Blairgowrie will give local residents, parents and families the chance to find out more about the forthcoming new Blairgowrie Community Campus.
It is being built as part of Perth & Kinross Council's Investment in Learning Programme.
The exhibition will run from 2pm to 7pm at Blairgowrie Town Hall on Wednesday 18 March 2009, with refreshments provided and a creche available between 2pm and 4pm. Council representatives from Education and Children's Services will be staffing the exhibition and available to answer any questions members of the public may have.
Set to open later this year, Blairgowrie Community Campus will be home to Newhill Primary School and nursery and St Stephen's RC Primary School. Purpose-built facilities will enable each school to maintain its distinctive identity.
Alongside the educational provision, there will be a range of facilities for community use, including a multi-use games area with changing rooms, sports hall, music and drama spaces, facilities for family learning and meeting rooms.
Lifelong Learning Convener, Councillor Liz Grant said: "The new Blairgowrie Community Campus is going to make a major contribution both to the education of local children and to community life in the town. I hope as many people as possible will come along to the exhibition to find out more about this fantastic new education and community facility."
Anyone wanting more information about the exhibition should contact Rowanbank Community Learning Centre on 01250 874234.
