Following a successful year of growth, building contractors William Skinner & Son have announced the reorganisation of the company into two divisions, based respectively in Cambridgeshire, England and Ayrshire in Scotland.
The company headquarters located on the perimeter of Glasgow Prestwick Airport in Ayrshire will provide certain common services to both divisions.
As part of the reorganisation, Peter Rawlings has been appointed as Regional General Manager to head up the Southern Division.
Until recently, Peter (40) who lives in Histon, Cambridgeshire, had been running his own property maintenance, refurbishment and building services company, but felt that the time was right to move to this newly created role with the challenges involved in in spearheading William Skinner & Son’s expansion plans for its southern operation.
Peter Rawlings said: "I am delighted about having this opportunity to join William Skinner & Son during this exciting time of growth of the Southern Division.
"We are currently operating on a relatively small scale compared to what the directors and I feel is achievable. Having been warmly welcomed to the company, I hope to make a significant contribution to the success and growth of the Southern Division."
William Skinner & Son managing director Sandy Cunningham commented: "We see the Southern Division based in Cambridge being instrumental in the company’s UK expansion programme.
"The company continues to grow its current client base and skills range, and is exploiting opportunities in many new emerging markets such as renewable energy."
