McTavish Ramsay, the Dundee door specialist, has supplied bespoke frames and doors as part of Dumbarton Sheriff Court's £10m revamp.
McTavish Ramsay was closely involved in the multi-million pound upgrade and extension of the court and its work has helped maintain the traditional feel in older parts of the building, while helping marry the more modern extension to the existing structure.
Working over a four month period, McTavish Ramsay started the £60 000 contract in August and has just finished its work on the site.
Gordon Urquhart, Sales Manager at the firm commented: "We worked closely with the architects, Aedas and the builders, Rok on this project. This made sure we came up with doors that would fit in with the existing décor in the older part of the building, and designed something more suitable for the modern extension."
Urquhart said the doors played a major part in setting the tone within the building and was delighted to have been part of the refurbishment of such an important landmark in the local community.
He added: "The court is a listed building and working to the exact requirements of the contract is the kind of specialist and bespoke work we pride ourselves on as a firm."
McTavish Ramsay has a rich heritage sweeping back to 1864. It works in both the private and commercial sector and provides doors for a huge range of projects centred on buildings as diverse as residential flats, new business developments, health centres, hotels, hospitals and local authority buildings.
