Robertson Highland has completed its first project, the Mash House extension at The Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, two weeks ahead of schedule.
It is the first phase of the largest expansion project in the history of the Glenmorangie Distillery where the iconic whisky brand was first created in 1843.
The project to extend the Glenmorangie Mash House began at the beginning of May and finished earlier this month.
The new extension, which will provide additional fermentation capacity, has been built using the same traditional red sandstone used for the original distillery buildings.
The works were completed by Inverness-based Robertson Highland which was established in December 2007, as part of the Robertson strategy of developing dedicated regionalised construction companies.
Robertson Highland is currently working on a number of longer term projects in a variety of different construction sectors, at various
Highland locations including Portmahomack, Muir of Ord, Portree, Aviemore and Inverness, the Glenmorangie Mash House extension is the first project to be completed by Robertson Highland.
Managing director Raymond More said: "Throughout the entire process we have worked closely with our client and the design team to create an extension which remains sensitive to the original architectural design.
"We are delighted that our first project has finished successfully and two weeks ahead of schedule. The finished product is outstanding and by using reclaimed stone the extension looks like it has always been there which is what we set out to achieve."
