The National Construction College (NCC), Europe's largest construction training provider, has appointed Allen Robertson as Training Manager of its newest site at Inchinnan near Glasgow, one of the College's six sites around the UK.
Allen brings with him strong management experience, which will help lead the College into the future helping it to continue to provide first-class training at the site. Prior to his appointment Allen worked as a management consultant, guiding companies in redefining their business functions and improving efficiency.
New to the construction industry having spent many years in telecoms, Allen aims to continue building on the training and expertise the College already provides to ensure the College continues to be a leading education establishment in Scotland.
Allen explained: "The National Construction College really impressed me, I'd heard lots of good things about it and I knew I wanted to be involved with the organisation.
"The NCC provides training that ultimately saves lives and makes a difference to a wide range of people. There is already a great team in place at the College who are doing really good work, I want to augment their work and ensure that the National Construction College Scotland achieves the highest standard of teaching to its students."
Andy Walder, Director of the NCC said: "At the NCC we strive to ensure we have the best people leading our sites in order to be able to provide the expertise needed to produce tomorrow’s leaders and create a fully qualified workforce. We are sure that Allen will be a great asset to the organisation."
The National Construction College offers outstanding training to both young apprentices and adult students for a wide range of specialist courses, which are delivered by experienced instructors at first class training facilities. The College's six sites across the country provide training for more than 30,000 people per year.
