Milton of Campsie's newly refurbished £40,000 Library and Community Centre has now opened to the public.

The work included the creation of an entrance to the building and a new disabled toilet.

Craighead Library has undergone a complete internal refurbishment which means a more modern layout of the library.


The Community centre also has new storage cupboards built for the use of local groups.

Councillor Una Walker, Convener of the Education & Cultural Services Committee opened the new improved facility, she said: "This refurbishment has greatly improved the library and the community centre for the people of Milton of Campsie and I hope that they enjoy using this excellent resource for many years to come."
