Leading Scottish fit-out and maintenance specialists, Morris & Spottiswood, has won a £1m contract to provide new office and workshop facilities for BT in Edinburgh.
The contract, which was won by competitive tender, follows Morris & Spottiswood’s £1.75m refit of BT Alexander Graham Bell House building earlier this year and will involve the internal fit out of BT's new premises in Sighthill.
The works which are scheduled for completion later this month, involves constructing partitions, new ceilings, and flooring as well as full building services. A new communications room, an un-interrupted power supply, and a generator is also being installed.
Commenting, Tony Hampson, Managing Director of Morris & Spottiswood’s Fitout division, said: "We are delighted to win this second contract for BT and to be working for Telereal who are managing the project on their behalf. It is a challenging fitout, mainly because of its fast track status. However we have a great team on board, both internally and with our partners and suppliers, and we are well used to working to tight timescales such as this."
John Cameron Telereal Project Manager said: "Morris & Spottiswood is rising to the many challenges associated with a contract such as this and the demanding timescales. We have every confidence that Morris & Spottiswood will deliver the project on time. We look forward to partnering with them again in the future."
Morris & Spottiswood is a leading provider of fitout and maintenance services to the retail, banking, commercial, education and healthcare sectors across North West England and Scotland. Established in 1925, the company is Britain's third largest shopfitter.
