B3Architects and cre8architecture have been appointed as joint architects by Fife Council for the £33m development of two new leisure centres to replace the Fife Institute of Physical Recreation (FIPRE) in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy Swimming Pool respectively.
The design team also includes Arup as engineers responsible for Structure / Civil / Mechanical / Electrical work; Turner Townsend as Cost Managers and B3Safety as CDM co-ordinator for the health and safety aspects of the scheme.
Fife Council have assembled a leading design team equipped to deliver these exciting projects combining the creative design flair of cre8architecture with B3Architects established design expertise in the sports and leisure sector as well as the world class experience of Arups and Turner Townsend.
B3Architects have recently been appointed onto the ODA Framework for the 2012 Olympics as architectural technical advisors and cre8 are currently on site with the new £50m Exchange Place Development for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in Edinburgh.
Both projects are due to start on site in 2010.
