One of Scotland's leading workplace design specialists has been shortlisted for two prestigious Scottish Insider Deals and Dealmaker Awards.
Space Solutions, that helps businesses manage changes within the workplace, is in the final three for MBO/MBI of the Year and Small/Medium Sized Deal of the Year.
Since the company's June 2007 management buy-out (MBO) by directors Steve Judge, Derek Binnie, Ken Cope and Mark Wilson, it has achieved a turnover of £13m, opened a new operations and presentation facility in Livingston, expanded in the Central Belt, launched Sustainability Services and opened its first English base with an operations service in Peterborough.
The Deals and Dealmaker Awards, established in 1998, recognise and reward valuable corporate finance expertise in Scotland and the significant contribution this makes to the country's economy.
Derek Binnie, a director at the company that has bases in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston and Peterborough, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for these very prestigious awards.
"This has been a very exciting year for Space Solutions. My co-directors and I have been able to drive this company forward and we are now realising its full potential. In a year where many businesses have taken a significant hit from the global credit crunch, Space Solutions has managed to grow.
"Our services are particularly relevant now in the challenging market we are in with businesses keen to optimise space and reduce overheads. We have built a fantastic team here that has delivered those services to new and existing clients. We are very excited about forging on with the success of our first year into our second and beyond."
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel on September 3.
