Centralpoint, The Elite Logistics Park - located at Eurocentral and adjacent to the £330m Maxim Office Park development, Lanarkshire - has concluded a deal to attract its first tenant TRAC International Ltd.
TRAC, a leading supplier of specialist engineering services, has taken a ten year lease on the 3,833 sq m (41,266 sq ft) Athena building, a new industrial unit with dedicated office space.
With existing bases in Bellshill, Aberdeen, Chesterfield, Inverness and Dublin, the letting marks a considerable expansion for the business. TRAC is likely to employ more than 100 people on the new site.
Rab Watt, Director of TRAC said: "This is an excellent move for our company and is part of our longer term growth and development strategy. We aim to consolidate our existing Central Belt operations under one roof which will allow our teams to work more closely in continuing to provide our customers with the highest standard of service.
"The new facility is in an ideal location, situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh with excellent transport links to the rest of the UK close by and will provide our staff with a positive and comfortable working environment from which to deliver our services."
Karen Campbell, Chief Executive TAL CPT Land Development LLP, who is in charge of the Centralpoint development, commented on the deal: "Securing a letting of this magnitude and so early on in the creation of this scheme is of significant news, especially given the current market conditions.
"However, the Enterprise Zone status at Centralpoint allows us to offer very attractive incentives packages on state of the art new build industrial units which range from 4,964m2 (53,434 sq ft) to 11,379m2 (122,483 sq ft).
"Centralpoint is a pivotal development in the heart of a growing business complex at Eurocentral.
"We are confident that with the secure park environment we are offering at Centralpoint and the linkages with Maxim office park, 15,500 sq ft of retail space and world class park environment, we will be able to attract further tenants to this unique development."
The Centralpoint development which is due for completion in August will provide over 423,660 sq ft of industrial space across six buildings.
