Timber frame engineering specialist, Scotframe, has added a raft of new talent to the business as it continues to grow.
Graham Clyde, 41, has been appointed as technical manager support services and joins the firm from BRE (Building Research Establishment), where he was an Approved Certifier of Design Scheme Manager for Section 6 (Energy).
Graham has over 20 years experience in building control and the knowledge and skills he has developed, especially in the important area of thermal engineering, will make him a valuable addition to both the Scotframe team and its customers.
Two experienced estimators have also joined the company: Malcolm Thom and Cormack McNelis will be working from the Dundee and Cumbernauld offices respectively.
Malcolm, 36, is the first full time estimator to be employed at the Dundee office and his appointment will help it become fully self-sufficient to meet increasing local demand.
Cormack joins as the fourth member of the estimating team in Cumbernauld, and at 58, brings many years of experience to the company.
Also joining the technical team in Cumbernauld is Gary Lickrish, a timber frame technician who arrives with previous timber frame experience and at 24, is the youngest of the new recruits.
"We are pleased to be able to attract experienced and talented staff to the business, all of whom will play an important role in helping us expand in the future," said Mike Cruickshank, Sales Director at Scotframe.
He added: "Timber frame construction is a growing sector and offers significant time, cost and environmental benefits over traditional methods. Having the right people to offer a professional and efficient service to our clients is essential."
From its manufacturing bases in Inverurie near Aberdeen and Cumbernauld near Glasgow, Scotframe supplies to customers right across Scotland including the Highlands & Islands and the North of England. Scotframe employs over 200 people and has a current turnover in excess of £35m.
