A stretch of city centre road will be closed next week to allow for essential maintenance.
Bon Accord Terrace will close on Monday, June 9, for up to five days between the Justice Mill Lane and West Craibstone Street junctions to ensure public safety while BT carries out manhole cover repairs.
Householders will have access to properties but there will be no through road. Alternative routes will be available via West Craibstone Street, Bon-Accord Square, East Craibstone Street, Bon Accord Street and Langstane Place.
On Sunday, June 22, meanwhile, parts of the Beach Esplanade area will be closed to traffic during the Cancer Research UK Race for Life 5km charity fun run.
The affected area will be:Beach Esplanade, from the Beach Ballroom to the junction with King Street at the Bridge of Don (6am-4.30pm), Links Road, from the Urquhart Road junction to the Esplanade roundabout (6am-4.30pm) and Accommodation Road, from the Esplanade to the Park Road/Golf Road junction (6am-5pm).
The buses and taxis-only access lane into King Street on the southern side of the Bridge of Don will be open to all vehicles from 6am-4.30pm to reduce traffic congestion for southbound traffic during the Esplanade closure.
Local diversions will be in place and parking restrictions will also be in force on the day of the race.
