akp Appoint Head Of Contracts

akp, the contracts, healthcare and interiors specialist, has appointed George Wallace as Head of Contracts and has strengthened its site management team with the appointment of four new Site Managers.

With over 40 years construction and project management experience, George, who lives in Prestwick, joins akp from a project management consultancy.

In his new role George will be responsible for managing the contracts division of the business which currently includes projects such as Glasgow High School, Dollar Rae and Cisco, as well as expanding the site management teams.


Commenting on his appointment Ian McEwan, Managing Director said, "George has experience of working on both the client and the supplier side of the fence and therefore brings a great deal of experience and ideas to the business.

"The business is expanding rapidly and it's essential that we have the right team on board to meet our stringent standards. The new site managers will be starting over the coming weeks."

Founded in 1994, akp has three specialist divisions, contracts, interiors and healthcare and employs over 100 members of staff from its East Kilbride headquarters.
