Gladedale (Central Scotland) Ltd has announced plans for a £30m housing expansion programme in Dunbartonshire.
The plans for 150 new homes are part of the company’s growth strategy to strengthen its position as one of the Scotland’s leading housebuilders.
Work has started on two developments at the former site of Diamond Power in Dumbarton and the former Duntocher Hotel.
The new homes at Diamond Power have allowed the world-leading boiler specialist to move to a newly renovated facility in Vale of Leven Industrial Estate.
The site will be transformed with the creation of 97 homes, including 18 two and three bedroom apartments and 79 family homes ranging from three bedroom semi-detached to five bedroom homes.
Work is also underway on the new homes at the former Duntocher Hotel on Dumbarton Road.
The development, Antonine Gait, is to feature 57 homes including one and two bedroom apartments as well as two and three bedroom terraced properties.
Crawford Copstick, Managing Director of Gladedale (Central Scotland) Ltd, said: "There is a continuing demand for quality housing in Dunbartonshire and we worked with the Council to ensure our plans help to meet this need.
"As well as a selection of larger family homes there is also a range of starter homes to encourage people to stay in the area and to help Dunbartonshire continue to thrive."
