CCG Lands Spot On £380m Social Housing Maintenance Framework

Glasgow-based construction firm CCG has secured a place on a significant £380 million framework for planned maintenance works for Scottish councils and housing associations.

The PfH Scotland’s Planned Works Framework will run for four years and includes 38 contractors.

The framework is divided into 12 lots, structured to cater to the specific needs of different regions across Scotland. It offers social landlords the flexibility to procure either products alone or a comprehensive service covering the supply and installation of kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, electrical works, roofing, painting, decorating, property refurbishment, and associated external works such as hard landscaping and fencing.

CCG’s in-house planned maintenance division, ‘Asset Management’, has been ranked as the number one contractor for kitchen and bathroom replacement contracts in central Scotland under the framework. Additionally, social landlords can procure the full supply and fit of windows and doors through CCG’s sister division, CCG Manufacturing.

Chris McGinn, commercial manager at PfH Scotland, commented on the framework, stating: “When social landlords invest in planned works, it creates warm, safe, comfortable homes for their tenants, and it lowers the need for spend on reactive repairs. The problem is that higher inflation and rising prices, along with multiple competing priorities, have put huge pressure on already stretched budgets. We designed this framework with social landlords so it could offer flexible, low cost, high quality options for planned works, enabling a quick and precise match between their requirements and suppliers.”

CCG's successful inclusion in the framework positions the company to secure a substantial volume of work in the social housing sector, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of homes across Scotland. The framework aims to provide social landlords with cost-effective and high-quality options for planned works, ultimately benefiting tenants through improved living conditions and reduced reactive repair needs.
