Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland has been awarded the highest 5-star rating in the latest Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey.
This marks the 16th consecutive year the housebuilder, which encompasses both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, has received this top accolade, a record unmatched by any other major housebuilder.
The 5-star rating is determined by customer feedback, specifically responses to the question of whether they would recommend their builder to a friend. Over 90% of Barratt and David Wilson Homes customers in Scotland indicated they would.
The HBF New Homes Survey is a significant indicator of customer satisfaction within the housebuilding industry, with approximately 50,000 recent homebuyers participating nationwide. The star rating system provides a clear and accessible method for consumers to identify builders with the most satisfied customers.
Neil Jefferson, Chief Executive of the Home Builders Federation, commented on the results: "This year's survey results highlight the industry's absolute commitment to delivering high levels of customer service, and compare favourably to satisfaction levels seen in any other sectors or products. Customers are the ultimate judges of performance and so receiving such high scores based on their feedback alone is a significant achievement. These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire home-building workforce, from on-site teams to the boardroom."
Alison Condie, Regional Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland, stated: "To once again receive a 5-star rating is a true reflection of how much we care about our customers and the extra mile we go to ensure they are happy. Providing high-quality homes and excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so it's fantastic to see that so many of our customers would recommend us to others."
This latest customer satisfaction recognition follows Barratt and David Wilson Homes' continued success in the NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards. In the previous year, site managers from the company secured 89 Pride in the Job Quality Awards, surpassing any other housebuilder for a record 20th consecutive year.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes are currently developing a range of new properties across Scotland, from Inverness to the Central Belt, with developments including DWH @ St Andrews, Findrassie, and Barratt and David Wilson's Cornhill Village.
