Two residential developments featuring zero-emissions district heating systems designed by Arc-Tech (Scotland) have been shortlisted for the Homes for Scotland 2025 awards.
These projects are among three finalists overall where Arc-Tech has played a significant role.
Homes for Scotland, a construction industry body, recognises excellence in housing development, and their annual awards are highly regarded within the Scottish property sector. The awards ceremony will take place in Edinburgh on May 30th.
Granton Station View and Western Villages, both located in north Edinburgh, are among the shortlisted projects. These developments, comprising a total of 519 mixed-tenure homes, utilise a zero-emissions energy strategy. They benefit from a combined Air Source Heat Pump (cASHP) system for space heating and hot water.
These purpose-built energy centres, designed by Arc-Tech, are considered among the most advanced in the UK. Arc-Tech's Renewables and Sprinklers Divisions also installed over 3,000 solar PV panels and communal sprinkler systems at these sites.
A similar installation was completed at the 92-home Water Row development in Govan, south Glasgow, situated near the new Govan-Partick Bridge. This project further demonstrates Arc-Tech's capacity to deliver large-scale residential projects across Scotland.
The Granton Station View and Western Villages projects will compete in the Large Affordable Housing Development of the Year category, while Water Row is shortlisted in the Medium Affordable Housing Development of the Year category. Arc-Tech has extended congratulations and best wishes to the main contractor, CCG (Scotland), for their recognition in these prestigious awards.
