Dundee councillors are set to consider tenders for over £2.4 million in improvements to council houses across the city next week.
The neighbourhood regeneration, housing and estate management committee will review proposals for work in Dryburgh, Menzieshill, and Midmill/West Kirkton.
"It is important that we continue to make sure that we help to generate a strong sense of pride and satisfaction in our communities, and one of the best ways of doing that is to invest in our housing stock," said Kevin Cordell, committee convener.
The proposed projects include:
• Dryburgh: Replacing flat roofs at 34 houses at a cost of £1.25 million, with work starting in spring 2025 and completing in early 2026.
• Menzieshill: Replacing windows in 72 properties at a cost of £867,248, with work expected to begin in summer 2025 and take approximately four months.
• Midmill/West Kirkton: Upgrading heating systems, including new radiators, in 31 houses at a cost of £315,773, with work starting in May 2025 and completing within three months.
If approved at the committee meeting on Monday, March 3rd, the work will be carried out by the council’s construction services division.
