Port of Aberdeen has launched its 2025 supPORT-all charity programme, offering £25,000 in funding to support local community projects.

Charities and community groups operating in areas near the port – Altens, Balnagask, City Centre, Cove, Footdee, Garthdee, Kincorth, Torry, and Tullos – can apply online for grants of up to £7,500. Successful projects may also receive donations of time, resources, and equipment from the Port.

In 2024, nine local groups received funding, supporting various initiatives, including sound play activities, clothing packs for children, and community physiotherapy.

"We're a socially responsible Trust Port operating in the heart of the city and having a positive relationship with the local community is incredibly important to us," said Jordan Harkins, Head of Communications, Port of Aberdeen. "We look forward to partnering with a diverse range of groups this year and contributing to their crucial work in the community. Our supPORT-all programme has helped those most in need in local communities for over a decade. I encourage any eligible local charities and community groups in need of support to apply."

The Russell Anderson Foundation, a 2024 beneficiary, used its £2,550 grant to deliver cooking sessions for children and purchase kitchen equipment and supplies.

"The funding from Port of Aberdeen enabled us to create a lifestyle project for families," said Graeme Burnett, CEO, Russell Anderson Foundation. "We're proud that similar Skills Hubs are being opened in other parts of Aberdeen, learning from the benefits of the Port's funding."
