The waterpark at the Time Capsule in Coatbridge is set to close for up to six months starting in March 2025 for essential upgrades.

While the waterpark will be temporarily unavailable, all other facilities at the complex, including the 25m swimming pool, ice rink, and gym will remain open throughout the closure.


The planned upgrades include significant improvements to the water feature systems, control panels, and electrical systems, as well as the replacement of the pumps. As part of the scheduled improvement programme, the gym will also undergo an upgrade.

Additional work will include replacing two non-functioning lifts, enhancing signage, and making improvements to the building’s overall appearance. These upgrades are part of a phased plan to improve the overall visitor experience at the Time Capsule.
