Key Milestones For Inverness Castle Project

Construction News Image
The Inverness Castle Experience has reached two significant milestones with the completion of glazing on the new link building and the installation of the fully refurbished Rose Window.

These achievements mark significant progress in the redevelopment of the historic Inverness Castle, which is set to open to the public later this year.

The new link building, designed by LDN Architects, will house the Saltire Bistro and features a striking glass roof.

"We are delighted to celebrate these major milestones for the Inverness Castle Experience," said Cllr Ian Brown, Leader of Inverness City and Area and Co-chair of the Inverness Castle Project Delivery Group. "The completion of glazing on the link building and the restoration and installation of the Rose Window highlight the project’s balance between contemporary design and respect for the Highlands’ heritage."

The refurbished Rose Window, a cherished historic feature, has been installed in the South Tower Story Room.

The Inverness Castle Experience project is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, a £315 million investment aimed at stimulating regional economic growth.
