NHBC CEO Steve Wood To Step Down

NHBC CEO Steve Wood has announced his intention to step down from the role later this year, bringing to an end eight years of leadership at the organisation.

Under Wood's guidance, NHBC has undergone a period of significant transformation, strengthening its position within the housing sector.

"It has been a real privilege to serve as CEO of NHBC, working alongside such a passionate and talented group of colleagues," said Steve Wood. "Together, we have navigated challenges, embraced change, and achieved remarkable progress. I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished and grateful for the unwavering dedication of the entire NHBC team."

Alan Rubenstein, Chair of NHBC, expressed his gratitude for Wood's leadership. "The Board is enormously grateful to Steve for his leadership of the NHBC over the last eight years and all that has been achieved," said Rubenstein. "As we look ahead, NHBC is well-positioned to build on this success, and I have every confidence in the team's ability to drive the organisation toward new heights."

A search process is now underway to identify a successor to lead NHBC into its next phase of growth and innovation.
