B6415 To Close For Programme Of Road Repairs
A section of the B6415 between Old Craighall and Millerhill will be closed for five days from Monday, 10th February, to allow for essential carriageway repairs to be carried out.
The road closure will be in place from 8am on Monday to 6pm on Friday, with pedestrian access maintained throughout.
East Lothian Council is undertaking the roadworks, which have been coordinated with Cala Homes, who are currently developing a new housing estate in the area.
"By carrying out the respective works simultaneously, this will help to reduce any future disruption in the area," said an East Lothian Council spokesperson.
The Prentice Coaches 111 bus service between Haddington and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary will be diverted during the closure. A taxi service will be provided by East Lothian Council for passengers who wish to use the 111 bus service.
Refuse and recycling collections will be undertaken on the closed section of the B6415 where practical. Residents are asked to ensure their bins or boxes are out for 7am on collection days.
"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause," added the spokesperson. "We are now using www.tellmescotland.gov.uk to inform the public about major roadworks. This website will also be updated with any changes to the works."
