CCG has commenced work on a 42-home window replacement contract for Yorkhill Housing Association in Glasgow's West End.
The project involves the installation of 351 Sash and Casement timber windows, manufactured by Blairs, across the B-listed residential properties on Argyle Street.
"Working in occupied homes can be challenging," said Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management Manager. "However, our expert tradespeople, augmented by our Tenant Liaison team, will operate diligently and efficiently to ensure the windows are installed to the highest quality standard with minimal intrusion on the day-to-day lives of tenants."
The new windows, which meet the specific requirements of the B-listed properties, will be double-glazed and installed with draft proofing to improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss.
Tony Mallaghan, CEO of Yorkhill Housing Association, said: "We are delighted with the new windows that are being installed for our residents. It has been a challenge to find window designs that would be in keeping with the terrace’s B-listed status while giving the energy performance needed to help people have warm homes and the soundproofing that double glazing provides."
Procured via the Scottish Procurement Alliance, the contract is set for full completion in the spring.
This project highlights CCG's expertise in delivering high-quality construction work within challenging environments, such as historic buildings.
