Persimmon Homes Unveils New Model Home to Drive Construction Innovation
Persimmon Homes has launched a new model home at its Space4 factory in Castle Bromwich, designed to drive innovation and enhance construction practices.
Built using modern methods of construction, the three-storey home features Mauer brick façades factory-fitted to the timber frame, significantly reducing build time. The superstructure was completed in just five days, a significant improvement over traditional construction methods.
The interior of the home showcases various stages of the build process, allowing for hands-on learning and training for contractors and suppliers.
"We're really proud to launch this model home," said Dave Griffin, Group Build Director at Persimmon Homes. "This facility will be instrumental in driving innovation within our business and ensuring we remain at the forefront of construction technology."
The model home will be used for testing new construction technologies, training staff, and collaborating with suppliers to improve efficiency and sustainability in homebuilding.
This initiative aligns with the Government's target of building 1.5 million homes over the next five years and the upcoming implementation of Future Homes Standards in 2025.
