Atlas Copco's new X-Air+ 750-25 portable air compressor is making waves in the drilling industry, offering a powerful and compact solution for a range of applications.
Launched earlier this year, the X-Air+ 750-25 delivers a significant boost in efficiency, providing over 10% more airflow than its predecessor while maintaining a compact footprint. Weighing under 3,500 kg, this compressor can be easily transported without the need for heavy-duty trailers or low loaders, making it a cost-effective option for various applications, including water well drilling, ground engineering, geothermal drilling, and foundation drilling.
In Aberdeen, Scotland, Filpumps, a leading water well drilling company, has become the first UK operator to adopt the X-Air+ 750-25.
Paul Bennett, Regional Sales Manager for Atlas Copco UK, highlighted the compressor's suitability for Filpumps' operations: "It's small, powerful, and incredibly efficient."
Meanwhile, in Fos-sur-Mer, France, Aquaforage is utilizing the X-Air+ 750-25 to install sacrificial anodes at LNG terminals. These anodes are crucial for preventing corrosion in underground pipelines, particularly in the highly corrosive coastal environment.
Daniel Minc, General Manager at Aquaforage, emphasised the compressor's suitability for this challenging application, stating, "The X-Air+ 750-25 is key to this special application, providing compressed air to clean the boreholes and power the drilling rig for precise placement of the anodes."
With its combination of power, portability, and efficiency, the X-Air+ 750-25 is poised to become a key player in the evolving drilling landscape.
