Building products manufacturer Glidevale Protect has announced a new partnership with RGB Facades, a market leader in the rainscreen cladding sector.
The collaboration introduces Glidevale Protect's fire-rated external wall membranes to RGB Facades’ extensive customer base, enhancing its portfolio of high-quality façade solutions.
RGB Facades specialises in modern cladding systems, offering a variety of materials, including brick, stone, metal, decorative panels, and glass fibre reinforced concrete. These solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of clients seeking cost-effective and high-quality façades for their construction projects. The company has a long history of working with industry specialists to expand its product range, and Glidevale Protect is the latest addition to its team of partners.
Glidevale Protect's new Protect FrameSafe FR membrane, which boasts a Class A2-s1, d0 fire rating, will now be available as part of RGB Facades’ portfolio. Paired with Protect FR lap sealing tape, this system has undergone full fire testing, making it suitable for medium and high-rise construction projects.
Additionally, RGB Facades will offer the newly launched Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR. Designed for open façade cladding applications, this membrane features printed lap lines without logos and strong UV stability, allowing it to withstand up to six months of exposure during construction. Both products are engineered for external use on frame structures in buildings exceeding 11 or 18 metres in height.
Danny McQuaid, Managing Director at RGB Facades said: "Collaboration with industry specialists like Glidevale Protect is crucial as it enables us to offer a full spectrum of façade solutions. We pride ourselves on supporting our customers with technical expertise to guide them through the specification process for each project – a principle that is shared by Glidevale Protect. As well as supplying a wide range of high quality products, we also need to be able to rely on transparent technical information from our suppliers too."
