Major Road Safety Improvement Works To Begin In Bo’ness

£700k Investment To Upgrade A904/A993 Junction

Work is set to begin on January 6th, 2025, on a significant road safety improvement project at the A904/A993 T-junction in Bo’ness.
The £700,000 project, funded by Falkirk Council and Transport Scotland, aims to enhance safety for all road users.

JH Civil Engineering Ltd has been awarded the contract to deliver the following improvements:

• Installation of permanent traffic signals at the junction

• Construction of a 3-meter wide shared footway and cycleway, linking to National Cycle Routes

• New crossings for pedestrians and cyclists

• Drainage system upgrades

The project is expected to last between 16 and 18 weeks. While some disruption is inevitable during construction, Falkirk Council will work closely with the contractor to minimise inconvenience and keep the community informed.
