Pupils at Beauly Primary School have gained a deeper understanding of the water cycle and waste water treatment through a recent visit from Scottish Water.
The interactive workshops, delivered by Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA), engaged 121 pupils from P1 to P7. The sessions covered topics such as the journey of water and safety around construction sites.
CWA Customer Manager, Clive Duncan, expressed enthusiasm for the visit, highlighting the pupils' interest in water and waste water networks.
The school's head teacher, Tracey Fraser-Lee, praised the informative and engaging nature of the presentations.
The visit coincided with Scottish Water's £615,000 investment to upgrade the local sewer network. The majority of the construction work is expected to be completed by Christmas, with final works and re-seeding scheduled for the New Year.
