Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes have made a significant contribution to the Scottish economy, generating £406.9 million in the past year.
The housebuilders completed 1,613 new homes and supported 4,045 jobs across Scotland. They also created over 41 hectares of green space to support wildlife.
The company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and building energy-efficient homes. In the past year, 99% of homes built in Scotland were rated EPC A or B.

Our work has helped to boost Scotland's economy by over £400 million, delivered 1,613 high-quality, energy-efficient homes and supported more than 4,000 jobs across the country.
"We're particularly proud of our continued commitment to sustainability, creating over 41 hectares of green space and ensuring 99% of our homes meet the highest energy efficiency standards. This not only benefits the environment but also saves our customers money in the long run."
As part of its housebuilding activity, Barratt has made £15.9m in local contributions to help build new facilities and community infrastructure. This contribution includes the provision of 408 new school places. More than £31m has also been spent on physical works within communities, such as highways, environmental improvements and community facilities.
Other key findings from Barrat Homes and David Wilson Homes Scotland 2024 socio-economic report include:
• Increased support for public services with £50.6m in generated tax revenues
• Over £442,000 donated to local charitable and community causes
• 598 supplier and 572 sub-contractor companies supported
• Increased support for the UK supply chain with 90% of all components centrally procured, assembled or manufactured in-country
• More than £30m in retail spending by new residents, helping support 299 retail and service-related jobs
The development of new and future talent remains a key priority for Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland, with 55 graduates, apprentices and trainees launching their careers with the company in 2024.
The assessment was carried out by independent experts who analysed socio-economic impacts through the delivery chain for new housing based upon datasets, published research and national statistics.
