Morrison Construction And Hub South East Dominate Learning Places Scotland Awards

Morrison Construction and Hub South East have once again demonstrated their expertise in delivering exceptional educational facilities, securing five awards at the prestigious Learning Places Scotland Awards.

Beatlie Campus, a groundbreaking project for West Lothian Council, was the standout performer, winning both Project of the Year - Inclusive Design and Pupil/Student Experience. This state-of-the-art facility caters to the needs of children and young people with complex medical requirements, featuring a sensory garden, hydrotherapy pool, and NHS Child Development Centre.

The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), a collaborative project between Morrison Construction and the University of Strathclyde, was awarded Project of the Year - Universities. This innovative facility, which prioritises sustainability, houses a manufacturing skills academy, a digital factory, and a public collaboration hub.

Wallyford Learning Campus, delivered for East Lothian Council, was also recognised with a Highly Commended accolade for Inspiring Learning Spaces. Additionally, Morrison Construction received a Highly Commended award in the Contractor of the Year category.

These accolades highlight the dedication and commitment of both Morrison Construction and Hub South East to creating inspiring and functional learning environments that positively impact the lives of students and staff.

Both Beatlie and Wallyford also won commendations in the Education category at the Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA) Awards, which celebrate the very best architecture being produced within the GIA Chapter or by GIA Chapter Members.
