Construction News Image
A major public event is set to highlight the significant developments and investments taking place in Inverness. The Inverness Strategy event, to be held at the Town House on 26 November, will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the city's transformation and engage with those driving the change.

The event will focus on Inverness's role as the heart of the Highland region and will showcase the exciting projects and initiatives underway. An accompanying online StoryMap provides a detailed overview of the developments and invites public feedback.

The Inverness Strategy aims to reinforce the city's position as a hub of economic, social, and cultural activity. The public event offers a chance for residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to gain insights into the future vision for Inverness and contribute their ideas.

City Leader Councillor Ian Brown said: "The Inveness Strategy is very much a collective approach. A partnership vision, that tracks projects that are already delivering on priorities for the future, and bring partners together to realise opportunities."

It will be interactive, with stalls to visit and representatives from all partners will be present to talk about projects and answer any questions.

Councillor Brown added: "Inverness is a great place to be, and we believe it can be the envy of any other city in Scotland with respect to the development actually being delivered at present. Bringing together the agencies, businesses and community partners who are delivering on priorities for the future, the emerging Strategy will lay the groundwork of a collective vision. This partnership approach aims to improve the delivery of current and emerging plans and projects to ensure Inverness remains Highland's prime destination for those who live, work, visit and invest here.

"We believe this coordinated overview will help improve public awareness of 'what's happening across Inverness' and how we work together to make the most of opportunities. The StoryMap includes opportunities for the public to provide views and feedback and this drop-in event is another way to engage and pass on comments."
