Charles Langan, CFO of ScottishPower, said: "We want to recognise and celebrate the work of our wide and varied supplier base and I would like to congratulate and thank all the winners for their continued work to support the UK's green energy transition.
"The energy sector is one of the UK's biggest growth drivers and we injected over £2bn into the economy over the first six months of this year. This shows how businesses right across the supply chain can benefit from the country's clean power mission.
"Across our Networks, Renewables and Customer businesses, we are lucky to work with some incredible companies, both big and small, who share our ethos and our goal of delivering a better future for everyone.
"ScottishPower continues to create huge opportunities for other businesses to win contracts, deliver for the UK and in turn invest in their own workforces."
More than 550 companies - of varying sizes - won contracts in the first half of 2024, worth £1bn. Whether those contracts are in turbines or maintenance, the company's commitment to its working partners is key to its ongoing success.
