A section of the B9080 west of Kirkliston will be closed to traffic on the night of Monday, 4 November, between 21:00 and 01:00. This closure is necessary to allow Transport Scotland's operating company, BEAR Scotland, to carry out essential lifting operations as part of the ongoing M90 motorway bridge refurbishment.
During the closure, special arrangements will be in place for buses to pass through the works. Local access will be maintained for all other vehicles up to the bridge, but no further.
A clearly signposted diversion route will be in place, directing traffic from Winchburgh to Kirkliston via the B8020, A904, and B800.
For high-sided vehicles, a separate diversion will be signposted from the A904 onto the A90 at Queensferry Junction, A902 Maybury Road, A8 Glasgow Road, A89 from Newbridge Roundabout, and the B800 northbound to Kirkliston.
David Bishop, BEAR Scotland's South East Unit Bridges Manager, said: "It is essential for the safety of road users and our workforce that we fully close this part of the B9080 while the lifting operation is ongoing. To minimise disruption, we have planned these works to be undertaken overnight.
"We're grateful to road users and the local community for their patience and understanding."
