The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) has called for capital investment in housebuilding ahead of the UK Government Budget set to take place on Wednesday, October 30.
While Scottish Parliament deal with the majority of the housing policy, the SFHA will ask the UK Government to significantly increase capital investment, allowing for additional funds for Scotland's capital budget.
The UK Budget is expected to set out a series of tax and spending plans which will significantly influence December's Scottish Government Budget
How additional funding is spent will be decided by the Scottish Government, although Ministers have already committed to investing such funds in the Affordable Housing Supply Programme.
Following the UK Budget, members will receive a full briefing on what the spending decisions are likely to mean for their organisation and tenants.
The SFHA has also begun significant work on their policy asks for the Scottish Budget in December and will set these out in further detail in due course once the UK Budget has been analysed.
