A.C. Whyte has commenced significant external fabric upgrade works at Mill Court, Rutherglen, in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council. The project, secured through a competitive tender process, aims to enhance the property's appearance, functionality, and safety.

The comprehensive refurbishment works include re-roofing, external rendering, window replacement, asbestos control measures, and the installation of fire-retardant systems. Additionally, A.C. Whyte will implement new security access doors and controlled entry systems to improve the overall security of the property.


This project marks a continuation of the strong partnership between A.C. Whyte and South Lanarkshire Council, demonstrating the company's expertise in delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects.

As part of A.C. Whyte's ongoing commitment to community benefits, the project also provided an exciting opportunity to engage with the next generation of construction professionals. In collaboration with South Lanarkshire Council, Developing the Young Workforce (Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire), and Calderglen High School, a recent work placement was delivered to expose young people to careers in construction, offering valuable hands-on experience and insight into the industry.

Work on the project commenced in September 2024, with completion expected in early 2025.
