Connect Modular Sparks Interest In Modular Construction

Construction News Image
Connect Modular recently visited Strathesk Primary School to introduce students to the exciting world of modular construction. The interactive session aimed to inspire young minds and foster creativity in building design.

In collaboration with principal teacher Ian Armstrong, Connect Modular created a stimulating learning experience for the students. The session included a presentation on modular construction methods and a hands-on challenge where students built structures using a variety of materials.

To further support the school's STEM education initiatives, Connect Modular donated offcuts from their manufacturing facility for use in the classroom. This contribution will provide students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities and encourage creative thinking.

The visit was a success in sparking interest in modular construction and highlighting the innovative and efficient approach to building.

Furthermore, as part of the engagement, the school children were tasked with designing their dream homes, with three winners to be selected by Connect Modular. These winners will receive a special prize as a recognition of their creativity and imaginative designs.

Ian Armstrong commented: "We're very grateful to Connect Modular for reaching out to our school and helping to provide our learners with relevant real-life contexts for learning. Our new STEM room has been a hive of activity, as classes battle it out to design the best dream home!"

Strathesk Primary School holds a special significance to Connect Modular as it is in close proximity to their ongoing affordable modular home development consisting of 12 cottage flats for Ark Housing Association. This visit not only served as an educational initiative but also strengthened the bond between Connect Modular and the local community.
