CCG (Scotland) has announced that five of its projects have been shortlisted as finalists for this year's CIH Scotland Housing Awards.
The Chartered Institute for Housing (CIH) is the UK's largest professional network for housing professionals, with over 16,000 members across England, Wales, and Scotland. The Housing Scotland Awards, scheduled for November 8th, celebrate the outstanding achievements of members and their teams in the Scottish housing sector, recognizing their dedication to development, tenants, customers, and communities.
CCG (Scotland) is proud to be a partner in several of this year's nominated projects, with five developments recognized across three categories:
• Langlands Road, Glasgow: This 46-home development, led entirely by CCG from land acquisition to construction, is a finalist in the Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability and Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing categories.
• Dundashill, Glasgow: CCG has constructed the first two phases of the Dundashill Regeneration Masterplan, including the 90-home Plot 3A (Scotland's largest Passivhaus development) for West of Scotland Housing Association and the 78-home Maltings Wynd for igloo Regeneration. These projects are recognized in the Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing category, and Plot 3A is also a finalist for the Net Zero in Housing Award and Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability.
• North Lanarkshire Council: Two major regeneration projects by North Lanarkshire Council are also finalists. The 150-home Dykehead Road in Airdrie, featuring 19 net zero homes, is nominated in the Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability and Net Zero in Housing categories. Castlehill Road (97 homes), the first phase of a multi-phase regeneration in Wishaw, is nominated in the Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing category. Both projects are part of the Council's tower block transformation strategy and a wider affordable housebuilding partnership that has delivered over 300 homes since 2019.
