From September, staff will start moving into Abbeyview Community Hub, familiarising themselves with the new facility. Some longstanding facility users will also start using the new hub in September.
The £8 million project, funded by Fife Council, revitalises the former Local Office building by expanding and enhancing it to offer a wide range of services:
• Reception area: complete with dedicated interview spaces.

• Multi-purpose activity space: featuring linking fold doors for access to additional community space.
• Community function space: replacing the existing community centre.
• Teaching kitchen: helping teach food resilience through creating simple, fresh meals with affordable ingredients.
• IT suite: dedicated to teaching and building confidence in digital skills.
• Community space with kitchen: available for use by community groups.
• General use spaces: several smaller rooms for various needs.
• Secure entrance for after school club: adaptations to better meet the group's needs.
• Secure garden and play area: associated with the community space.
Councillor Linda Erskine, communities and leisure spokesperson, said: "We're delighted Abbeyview Community Hub is on track to open in the Autumn.
"This new, modern facility will add to the great work already happening in Abbeyview and will give the community the space it needs to grow and thrive."
