BEAR Scotland is to carry out resurfacing works on the A82 just South of Laggan Swing Bridge.
The work, which is being carried out on behalf of Transport Scotland, is to commence on Tuesday, 20 August.
The project will see a section of the A82 South of Laggan Swing Bridge between Laggan and Spean Bridge, creating a smoother and safer road for road users.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm from Tuesday 20 August and are expected to finish on Monday 26 August at 7pm. No works will be undertaken on Saturday or Sunday.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the public, temporary traffic lights with a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: "These maintenance works on the A82 South of Laggan Swing Bridge will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
"The overnight closures are essential to ensure the safety of our workforce and road users.
"We thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete this project. We encourage the travelling public to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information."
