Moray Council Issues 'Call For Sites' For New LDP

Construction News Image
Moray Council has issued a 'Call for Sites' – an opportunity for individuals, landowners and developers to suggest sites for development within Moray over the next 10 to 15 years – as part of the development of a Local Development Plan 2027.

The sites suggested will be used to inform the preparation of the new Local Development Plan, due for implementation from 2027, which will shape how land and buildings are used.

Site suggestions must be submitted by Friday 23 August 2024.

A clear site plan showing a site boundary and vehicle and active travel connection points must be included. Additional information, plans and photos can also be added to the online form.

Any queries relating to submissions should be emailed to localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk.

Moray Council's Acting Head of Economic Growth and Development, Beverly Smith, said: "This 'Call for Sites' is a key stage in the progress of our Local Development Plan to help us find out where potential sites might be available.

"The Local Development Plan will shape how land and buildings are used over the next 10 to 20 years, affecting everyone in Moray. I'd encourage everyone to get involved and put forward any potential site ideas so we can ensure we get the plan right for the area."
