The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has announced that their annual Scotland Housing Awards for 2024 are now open for entries.
The Awards are described as an opportunity to recognise and highlight the creativity, passion and innovation of individuals, organisations and projects that have helped tenants, customers, and communities throughout the year.
There are 19 categories in total, including homelessness, professionalism, equality, net zero and young achiever in housing, which recognise the many, and varied, teams and professionals who continue to demonstrate a real commitment to the housing sector, delivering vital services and support to communities throughout the nation – from big housing organisations to smaller businesses, individual housing professionals and tenants.
All entries will be reviewed by a judging panel of tenants, residents, and housing experts, providing a well-rounded view on every application.
The deadline for nominations is 22 August and you can find out more and apply here: www.cih.org/events/scotland-housing-awards-2024
Commenting on this year's Awards, Callum Chomczuk, national director of CIH Scotland said: "Year after year, Scotland's housing sector continues to deliver outstanding services and support to tenants.
"This year's Housing Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the ongoing creativity, innovation, and achievements of Scotland's housing professionals and I would encourage every housing organisation who can demonstrate a real impact on the lives of their tenants and communities, to consider applying for an award. Each year, I look forward to judging the awards and being inspired by the great work going on throughout the Scottish housing sector."
The winners will be announced at a live award ceremony at the Double Tree Hilton, Glasgow on the evening of Friday, 8 November 2024.
All shortlisted entries will be showcased in a Good Practice Compendium, a core learning document for the sector providing inspiration to deliver on the shared vision of providing a sustainable and affordable housing option for everyone. The publication will be available on the CIH website following the ceremony.
