East Renfrewshire Council have launched a public consultations seeking views on the proposed redevelopment of Eastwood Leisure Centre on Thursday 30 May and Thursday 20 June.
Two public exhibitions are to be held to give people the chance to have their say on the plans being put forward for the new Eastwood leisure centre.
Following approval from Councillors to proceed with the project, an updated version of the proposed facility has been developed and residents are being urged to provide their feedback.
The events will be held within the current Eastwood Leisure Centre on Thursday 30 May and Thursday 20 June from 4-8pm.
A range of display boards will be available to view, showing the outline designs for the proposed facility, with the design team also on hand to answer any questions.
Council Leader Owen O'Donnell said: "Following the feedback already received, the project team has worked hard to develop an updated plan for the new Eastwood Leisure Centre. These consultation events will give people the chance to view what is proposed and it's important that as many people as possible get involved and submit their views. I look forward to seeing this project progress to the next stage."
The proposals for the new £56m facility, which will be built in Eastwood Park, include a leisure centre, theatre and library space.
The leisure centre has been designed to include a 25m pool and separate training pool, a games hall, fitness suite, two fitness studios, a spin studio and cafe.
Following the consultation period, the proposals will be submitted for planning permission, and if granted it is expected that construction would start in mid-2025.
The new facility is planned to be complete by summer 2028, with the current leisure centre and theatre continuing to operate throughout the construction.
Comments on the proposals can be made at the event or by emailing the project agents on david@northplan.co.uk by Friday 28 June.
