CCG (Scotland) Ltd has won the coveted People | Place | Planet award at the prestigious Homes for Scotland Awards.
The award, which honours outstanding contributions to sustainability and social responsibility in the construction sector, was bestowed upon CCG (Scotland) for exemplary efforts in promoting an ESG culture across its business and in the delivery of construction projects including prioritising environmental stewardship, enhancing the customer journey and positive, community engagement.
CCG's dedication to ESG is evident in its strategic initiatives, such as the adoption of offsite Modern Methods of Construction and advanced manufacturing practices. These methods are designed to drive quality, efficiency, and lower waste, thereby minimising the carbon footprint across every stage of construction.
The focus on creating a sustainable legacy, particularly in housebuilding, is highlighted by a new housebuilding programme over 2300 homes including over 900 homes across five local authority areas designed to a low carbon, operational net zero carbon or Passivhaus standard of build.
Moreover, CCG's social impact was highlighted, with a culture of inclusivity and diversity fostered through job creation, engagement with educational institutions, and financial contributions to local initiatives.
The commitment to skills replenishment is also reflected in the employment of apprentices and trainees, with over a quarter of staff under the age of 28.
As CCG continues to lead the way in sustainable construction, the People | Place | Planet award serves as a beacon of the company's dedication to building a sustainable future for Scotland.
