Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has made a full detailed planning application to North Lanarkshire Council for the provision of 137 new homes through the development of land west of Carnbroe Road.
The planning application sets out Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s detailed proposals for housing mix, landscaping, and building materials. The proposals include a mix of two and three bedroom terrace and semi-detached, as well as four bedroom detached homes to ultimately appeal to a wide range of potential buyers.
Enjoying a semi-rural feel with existing woodland, as well as the convenience of the A8/M8 motorway network nearby, this development has been designed to create a sense of place and maximises the latest Scottish Government Planning Policy for Designing Streets. These designs give priority to pedestrians over vehicles using shared surfaces and home zones to create natural areas of focus at key points of the development.
Martin Findlay, Technical Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland added: "We are delighted to confirm that we have made a major detailed planning application for the development of further land off Carnbroe Road, Carnbroe near Coatbridge. Following the launch of new homes for sale late last year at our existing Calder Wynd development, this planning application represents our significant and continued investment in the local area by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. We look forward to positive discussions with the local authority to progress this development.
"As well as an impressive range of new homes, our proposed development will also provide a range of economic benefits for the local Carnbroe area. This includes supporting new jobs for every year of construction, as well as the attraction of new customers to local businesses from those who choose to live in one of the new homes this development aims to deliver."
