SP Energy Networks has announced its participation in this year's All-Energy, the UK's largest low carbon energy and full supply chain renewables event.
Taking place at SEC, Glasgow on 15-16 May 2024, SP will showcase a number of its supply chain colleagues who are speaking at the event and taking part in panel discussions with industry colleagues.
Following the Opening Plenary Session, Guy Jefferson, Chief Operating Officer, SP Energy Networks, will be participating in 'Maps, Money and Multiple Benefits: City Scale Decarbonisation'. This session will discuss the role cities play in world energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and their crucial role in economic development. At SP Energy Networks, sustainability is central to everything that they do. In 2023 they published their first Just Transition Strategy and recently shared their latest Sustainable Business Strategy.
In the afternoon, Jillian Violaris, Funding and Partnerships Manager, SP Energy Networks, will be taking part in a session looking at 'Community Benefits for Transmission Infrastructure'. As a network operator, they play a key role in enabling the transition to a cleaner, greener future. To ensure no one is left behind in the race to Net Zero, SP developed community funds dedicated to supporting communities and their low carbon ambitions which aligns to their Just Transition Strategy. SP have started to look at how they utilise the work that they have already undertaken in this area and align their Community Benefit Funding proposals with their stakeholder needs.
Also in the afternoon, Gareth Hislop, Head of Market Development and Commercial Operations, SP Energy Networks, will be participating in 'Connections, Connections, Connections'.
If you are interested any of the topics, be sure to Register as a Stakeholder where you can select interests including 'Sustainability', 'Community Funding' and 'Connections'.
